Twitter thinks Pritam’s ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ is inspired from a 1997 song! - Times of India
Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor's romantic number 'Tere Pyaar Mein', from the upcoming film 'Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar' was recently unveiled and Twitter sleuths have got to work.
On internet user posted a video sharing similarities between this song by Pritam and popular Hollywood track, 'Your Woman' by White Town, from 1997. Reacting to it, netizens stated that both the songs have a similar sounding score, while a few accused Pritam of copying music yet again, others supported the musician. One user wrote, "Pritam is the biggest copy artist of our times." Another post on Twitter read, "This is sampling and not copying. This comes from a music technologist". Defending the musician, one Tweet read, "Common man, if you are getting good music from any inspired song is fine, it is not 100% copied at all." The song has been extensively shot in the picturesque locales of Spain.
'Tere Pyaar Mein' is sung by Arijit Singh and Nikhita Gandhi, the lyrics are by Amitabh Bhattacharya while Pritam has composed the music. Directed by Luv Ranjan, 'Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar' is scheduled to hit the screens on March 8, coinciding with the festival of Holi.
